Firstly, I have a unit in my current game that has "wheel" movement type, even though it does not actually have enough trucks to carry all the infantry in it.
It has 400 motorcycles, 200 infantrymen, but only 10 trucks.
The weird thing is that it actually plays the marching sound effect when it moves, as if the game doesn't know if it should be wheel or foot movement type.`Mechanically it has the wheel movement type, because it costs 30 AP to move through a sand tile.
I think this might have happened after the unit lost some trucks to starvation.
Do you want a save for this?

With the other thing I'm not entirely sure if it's a bug or intentional. When the game decides what unit type graphic it should display on a unit counter and the unit has equal amounts of different unit types, then infantry seems to have the highest priority.
That means a typical motorised infantry batallion gets displayed as an infantryman, because it has the same amount of infantry and trucks in it.
I think it would be better if the current graphic display priority was inverted. Infantry would be the lowest priority, making it actually display the truck on motorised units and thus making it easier to see when a unit is motorised or not.
It would also make it display a buggy when the unit has for example 100 soldiers and 10 buggies.
The NATO counters actually get it right. They display a "motorised infantry" icon when there are the same amount of trucks in the unit as infantrymen and they also display an "armor" icon when there is the same amount of infantry and buggies in a unit.
