Prevent sales of metal?

I have constant metal shortages, but I see that traders are selling my metal to other regimes. Is there anything I can do to stop this? I know we don't have direct control over trade houses, and the manual does not mention anything about a possible embargo. I have not established the Foreign Affairs Council; I see it has a couple trade-related stratagems. Is that the way to control this? Thanks.

I would say, nationalize the private assets that mine or recycle metal?
Other than that, I don't think there's much that can be done, although I must admit I'm not familiar with the possibilities of trade-related Stratagems.

Yeah, it's probably your civilians selling metal. Nationalise the mines. Metal has no limit on how much you stockpile, so it's probably not you who's selling it.

Traders are never selling YOUR metal (as you're having unlimited storage capabilities for metal).

My guess you're calling PRIVATE mine output as "your metal". Don't be so greedy

AFAIK logs about foreign trade are showing that someone is buying either your private sector resources or resources that you already sold to traders. They never stealing them

Yeah, private mines can be quite hard to notice. I personally prefer to grab resources before the Private Economy has any shoot at geting them.

And as I said in several other posts, ideally we should have control over where they build or a least a notification when they build.
