AI Designed inferior upgrade to a infantry 1.03b11

I got AI major with Grenadier IV with automatic rifles and padded envirosuits. Then they seem to have designed Grenadier V which have automatic rifles and thermosuit.

Since I more or less just met them not sure if the units were designed under b11 or earlier beta version

Interesting, I've found the AI is better at keeping it's units upgraded with improved models and equipment than I am :P

Do you have spies in there territory, so you can see there complete unit disposition?
