Upgrading Trucks

Hello, for what is upgrading the unit truck usefull?
If i give them a better engine, do my Truck Points from Truck station also rise?

Reduce fuel usage, once you have that tech

Aside from reducing fuel usage with the linear tech, there is currently no effect for Upgrading or redesigning Trucks.

Infantry and artillery can use trucks for transportation. These are called "motorized" units. Upgrading the truck's engine will allow motorized units to travel further, but at the cost of increased fuel usage. However, upgrading your truck models will not affect your logistics assets.

As Falke pointed out, there are also some techs that improve model performance. After researching techs, you will need to update your models in order to gain the benefits.

im actually surprised you cant make the trucks have machine guns or larger bore guns under 60mm on them. just keep their health low, with no ability to armor them.

That would be pretty cool.
To be honest I would prefer less tech progression and more focus on technicals and so on.
