What am I doing wrong?

Strike Tutorial #3 – Complex Strike

I've set up the Recon + Strike missions as recommended in the notes.
Recon mission takes off and does it stuff.
The various Strike missions become active as the clock ticks over but *nothing* takes off.

Clearly I'm missing something obvious but I'm can't see it.
Even if I remove the activate time on a mission, nothing launches.

Flight size limit?
most of the ground strike mission's default setting is to have 4 A/C with same loadout assign to one group. If this requirement could not meet, the strike package will not take off

Flight size is most likely the issue in a tutorial. But another item is the length of the runway for the A/C involved. The later can occur when you start designing your own scenarios and use the "wrong" single unit airfield. Just something to be aware of in the future. However, you should be getting a message re: flight size if I remember correctly.

Yeah I've checked the flight sizes - and I did get a couple of warnings when assigning single aircraft so I adjusted accordingly.
Runway size? Haven't looked but this is a tutorial scenario - I can't imagine I'm the first person to run this.

No, very sure the designer of the tutorial has the right size runway. This can be a bit of a issue when you add AEW and tanker type A/C to an airfield that require long runways. You see all your fighters take off without a problem but the large A/C are stuck on the ground. In this case, there are no warnings and can cause some hair loss until you figure it out. Just a tip after many years.

Also a strike mission may not launch if there are no assigned targets or the assigned targets have not been detected or they do not meet the minimum threshold if set above 'unknown'.

And this thread is a solid example for including a save at the specific point of the issue. Otherwise, everyone is guessing.

Well this problem is what (as a Software Engineer) I would call deterministic as it occurs each time - every time.
I've replayed this a number of times so I have a save from scenario start - missions are built - one recon + all the strikes - no aircraft have taken off.

Edit: I did another run and checked the logs as well, nothing untoward in there.

And I now know exactly what I was doing wrong....

Muppet-head here didn't have these set up as "Land Strikes" but as "Air Intercepts" so unsurprisingly they didn't work [:(] [:o]

Note to self: Check the "Create Mission" dialog before hitting OK.

It happens - I do this from time to time and I've been playing since release date.
