Modding: Namelist modification?

Post by TorynGent »

Hey,

I have been wondering whether there is a possibility to modify the name lists for the random name generator. I would love to throw some of my Subscribers and Patreon nicknames in there.
So if anyone knows where that stuff is stored and if it is editable (*as in interpretable by visual studio or so) let me know.

There is no active modding support. Most of the data is in a password protected .zip container or another.

Images and Audiofiles are the only thing we can mod, by replacing them.

Sounds like active anti-modding measures to me. Every 4X I have played allows modding why must it be different here?

Vic has already stated that modding will be allowed in the future.
Until then, he has been super active in modding it himself via (almost) daily beta patches.

My suggestion to those who are anxious to mod this game is to make your voices heard per suggestions.
It, certainly, appears that Vic is listening.

I will add...modding any game that is not finished can be a pain in the butt per updating said mods.

Mount & Blade II Bannerlord Modders know that :D. Well I guess its time to enforce that democracy profile and make our voices heard in the suggestions forum :)

I have asked the same since day 1 :D

I really hope Vic might get to this eventually.

Going to be nice to have peaks and geographical features named a certain way, and towns and leaders and such all part of how I feel fits Shadow Empire the best.

Yes why not, I´ve created a post in the suggestion forum. Not sure if this will be really read and make any difference but perhaps it helps.
