PBEM games Freezing

I have been trying to play my PBEM games, but near the end of my turn the game is freezing.

Games load ok, I'm not getting any error messages.

But when the game freezes the only thing I can do is unplug my laptop and take the battery off to completely power down to restart it up.

I have changed the batteries in my mouse, the touch pad on the laptop doesn't work, Control-Alt-Delete doesn't work.

Any suggestions? Should I uninstall and reinstall the game?

I don't want to try and play any more games as I don't want people thinking I am cheating or get a warning.

Just to update
I have just played 2 hours of single player with no problem.

Sorry to hear the trouble and can you tell me what kind of freezing you are experiencing? Unable to click on units, interface, all of it?

Were you by any chance transporting at sea before it froze? Or just random game play leading to a freeze?

When I click on a unit to move it or reinforce it the game just freezes.

I have just played about 5 hours of single player with out a problem.

It is only in PBEM.

Very odd and please let me know if it happens again and if there is any indication on how it might be repeatable.

It seems to be ok now, I played all my PBEM games yesterday and "Touch wood there were no problems"
