[1.04b1]Exception Thrown

Post by mroyer »

This exception has occurred a couple times now, although I can't seem to reproduce the exact sequence of events that causes it. It has something do to with clicking between the red-circled logistics buttons on the right side and red-circled unit-info displays at the bottom. I tried to find some sort of error log or crash dump too, but didn't find one (is there one somewhere that might help?).

This occurred using 1.04-beta1.

Thanks for creating such an awesome game!

Yes, I actually did copy the exception text but then couldn't get out of the game (due to the exception blocking out the game minimize feature) to paste it elsewhere. So, I took a screenshot and killed the game with task manager and only after that realized I'd lost the exception text :(

Next time I'll forego the screenshot.

Thanks,

With the Windows copy function, files are only copied by reference, not by content. Filesizes tend to get to big for any place in memory.
Text however is copied wholesale into the Windows Clipboard. It does not mater what happens to the original, you got a full copy in memory. Compared to memory sizes, even the full Shadow Empire Manual without the images would not be a blip on the radar. Unless you got braindead programms that have their own clipboard (looking at you here, Steam!)
