Why has this unit lost action points?

Post by Badbonez »

I have just started a turn, the cavalry unit in the image has not moved, entrenched, reinforced or attacked. So why is it missing an action point?

(I realize I cannot reinforce it because the unit is at 8 and the supply is only 5.)

Thank you.

Hi Badbonez,

I believe it has to do with the supply level such that the rate at which units regain action points is affected by the supply level. The higher the supply, the faster and more likely units will regain their full level of action points. I'm not sure if terrain plays a role either, but maybe someone with more knowledge of this, could weigh in as well.

Did you check the manual? I should have checked it too myself before replying so I will do so now.

Ok, just read the manual and supply does have an effect in that it can reduce the maximum level of attainable action points.

Also weather and terrain can have an effect by the effects they have on supply.

See the manual under: 6.26.2. Factors Influencing Action Points
and 6.28. Supply and Action Points Table
