PPEM - automatic submarine operation

Post by KPAX »

I am playing a PVEM game. automatic sub operations was turned on at the beginning.

How can I change this?

In the option screen in game it does not have the ability to change it so that all the subs are in human control.

What can I do if I am playing a PVEM game and want you more control on the sun when it was originally set up to be automatic some operations?

Thank you

You can't. It locks once you start.

Shoot.

Ok, any suggestions?

When do they go to computer control? Only when they get to a port?

I still can grab them and change to human control. How long will they stay in human control? Until back in port?

If so, once they go in for upgrades and repair to a port when they are done they auto computer control?

If I move them to a forward base will they stay on human control until they go back into a port?

dang, this will be a pain.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

As far as I know, you can always turn the TF to human control once it's sent on its patrol. I tried that setting a long time ago, and I think I remember seeing the subs stay several days in port before being sent (but this is close to ten years ago).

And if I'm not mistake, the computer won't turn human-controlled sub TF to AI-control, only create new TF from available submarines in port.

Well, I had to butt in and note that the sun is too huge and remote to be controlled[:D]

If the setting was "computer control" ab initio, then it will always revert back to that setting. The player can change individual sub TF to player control but once the sub TF has completed its task, it reverts back to the universal setting of computer control.

Moral of the story, don't set it to "computer control" ab initio if one want to exercise direct control. The damage can only be undone by restarting the game with the intended setting.

But if set to auto-disband, won’t the TF disband in port once gone back home ?

Correct and the sub immediately becomes available to be used by the computer as part of "computer control".
