Class History: Majors far apart

It would be nice if we had an option, during "class history", to set the majors far apart, so that there is some room to expand and consolidate before meeting them

as of now, I tried playing many times with difficult level 3 (I don't remember the exact name), severe violence and outpost
and it is too much pain, as I have to fight something nasty from around turn 4, then by turn 7 or 8 I have a major coming from the other side and starting a war immediately
