unable to delete old save

I recently changed computers, and things are going quite smoother than I thought they will

In my PBEM, when I try to save the turn, it says it can't delete the old, then I have to delete the old from the game directory and everything is fine; so this is more of an annoyance than a problem

has anybody experienced it? any clue on how to fix?

How to you have an old file on a new computer? Or did you use the old hard drive on the new machine or use some kind of hard drive cloning program?

Change to File Details view of the directory. Click the View options to show hidden files and properties. IIRC, there is a property toggle called Archive that prevents the file from being deleted when turned on. If not Archive, there should be another property that is obvious in the property toggles. Anyway, turn off that selection and the file should be delete-able.

what I mean is that I download my PBEAM file received by email; then copy paste to "SAVE" directory. then open it, run it without any issue

play the game, by the time I am ready yo send back, click the red arrow button to finish it, then when I try to save it (in the same 010 slot received) a message pops up: "can't delete old save"

so I have to do the extra step of deleting 010 from "SAVE" directory, then it will save without any problem

This might be some sort of permission (or lack of)
