Well, in fairness to the crews, they had been converted into 10 kt target barges with a couple of tons of main gun powder aboard and some were abandoned by their escorts. Arizona is 61/56 or something like that. She is forty 40 miles from Dobo. I doubt she will make it. We did manage to sink one sub.

84 carrier Zekes and 31 carrier bombers destroyed. That is almost worth a 30 year old BB.

One of the staff thought it was a good idea to send in some Navy and USAAF heavies to attack Boela as there were no fighters on recon.....we lost 11 PB4Y's and 3 B-24's

She is at 96% flooding and there are 4 subs spotted in the same hex. [:)] It will be a miracle

West Va and Arizona made Dobo. So did the damaged DD's. Washington and escorts made Merauke. JJ got tired of sacrificing planes so they attacked Darwin and lost some planes...more to come.

I might have shared this observation before but I'm not sure where I shared it so...consider this:

How is it that there are an equal number of low pulp and high pulp orange juice buyers? You expect me to believe Darwinian forces accomplished that? I don't THINK so. It isn't market forces either because the prices are EXACTLY the same. Something has caused consumers to ask for extra sawdust in their OJ.

Also consider this:

The Chaldean Aramaic (original Biblical language) word for "light" is "noohra", which can mean "light from the sun" but also "light in weight". Suppose King James got it wrong. Not just a little bit wrong but grievously wrong from the start. I'm talking Genesis I.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

It's beautiful. It's spiritual. It has symbolic meaning..apparently. Everyone knows it. But what if it was all a misunderstanding? What if the King's monks and scribes just didn't get the cultural subtleties of Chaldean Aramaic? What if God really said "Let there be low pulp and high pulp juice of the orange." Look, the monks have been reading ancient languages by the light of a candle in a burlap robe that itched like heck and may have been quite distracting. They had never been to Spain let alone the Middle East. They have never tasted OJ and likely never saw the Chaldean word for it. So, naturally, they have to ad lib a bit and they take "noohra" to mean visible light which is symbolic for wisdom and the perfection and purity and purpose of God. They must have run around in ecstasy at the beauty of what they just transcribed....and there you have it. Now the grocery store has an equal display of low pulp and high pulp and they are EXACTLY the same price! Ever hear anyone say "I used to like low pulp but I switched over to high pulp"? Never happens. I promise.

I had an open wound 5.5 cm by 4.5 cm on the top of my right foot. They removed the dead tissue and it went down to the muscles and ligaments but not into the bones. I have a couple of pictures somewhere when it was healing. Would you like me to post them for you?
