So, what is the deal with those planes production? You ran out of fuel, and HI isn't working?
CAs are your best ships, but as long as you hadn't lost a CV, you are in good shape until at least mid-1943. Who cares about some islands nobody knows where they actually are? But have you caught, and sunk their invasion fleets in the meantime?
He is trying to keep his research and development with the engine bonus. Ramp up the engine production and produce the planes that you need NOW! If you don't, there will not be a later.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Hi to anybody still interested. It's been quite a while since i've update this AAR. There just hasn't been much to update though.
Last time we got together it was July 30, 1942 and i had just lost a CA, Raoul Is. and Canton and my fighter production was nil trying to keep the bonus.
It is now Sept 19, 1942. My opponents have taken back Lord Howe Is and things are stagnating in burma.
But the biggest news is that they invaded my positions in the aluetians. I saw the TFs headed west from Cold Bay and Kodiak and thought they were going to invade one of the smaller islands. Instead they brought everything they could, All the american CVs (I think), lots of BBs for bombardments and lots and lots of APs and AKs. Instead of one of the small islands they went straight for ADAK. I had built it up to a level 7 Naval and 4 Air base. I had a division and a couple of battalions holding it along with the 5th HQ, and some engineers. Like a fool i had used 1/2 of my division on an ill advised ill run, ill timed waste of an invasion of Dutch Harbor that had been wiped out. Knowing that KB was farting around near Pago Pago they knew they had lots of time even if i wanted to contest it.
Luckily i had a lot of full AOs and AKEs with me and i decided to waste a little fuel and challenge them. It took a while and i thought it was a lost cause when i realized they had brought a division, 3 regiments and lots of artillery and engineers. They bombarded the island with Battleships by Night and pounded it from the air with CV planes by day. The airfield and port went to 100% damage fairly quickly.
Luckily i had built the forts up to level 6 so while they were able to reduce it they never got advantageous odds. Luckily i had stuffed the place with supplies so those never ran low.
Now i have managed to get the KB and everything up to Adak along with 3 more divisions and a brigade. I'm moving in two upsized squadrons of zeros, vals and kates along with 2 big sentais of g3m3 nells. That should hold things up there for a while.
speaking of luck, this last turn i got some nells onto the partially repaired field at adak and despite the avg pilot experience of 57 and no escort they did all right.

My fighter situation was pretty bad for a while because of the lack of Nak-35s. I think it has improved alot. Can somebody verify for me?
It's 9/24/42 and all my CV,CVL, and CVE fighters are A6M5c and all their pilots are 80+ experience. I was parking 80+ pilots in TRACOM but i figured the A6M5c is better than my opponents so why not use them now. Or should i wait?
as far as army fighters go, i have 7 large sentai (42) of Ki-44c, 5 medium sentai (36) of Ki-43-IIa, and 14 Chutai (12) of Ki-45AIa. over 125 of the pilots are 80+ the rest are 70+. Likewise i figured the Ki-44cs are good enough for the 80+ pilots. Is that right? a lot of my Ki-45AIa are crossed trained for low level ground bombing but i haven't used them in that role yet.

17th Chinese Base Force This was my first attack on Changsha. I'd really like to get it. Seems to me this wasn't such a bad start.
Speaking of supply for china, a while back i noticed over 100 auxilary planes at Ledo. I had no idea what they were doing there but it seemed strange. finally i figured out that they were flying supply to china. Luckily i managed to amass more than 250 Sallys to hit the base and destroy a lot of them. I did quite a number on the airfield but it's up to a size 7 with over 170 fighters at it now. Maybe i should have gone for the refinery there too.
I was also lucky to follow some of the damaged transports to chittagong and get a CA BB TF on it. Overall they have lost 76 C-47s, 10 DC-3s, and 17 DC-2s so i hope the airlift is hurt a little.
That will hurt since there are few DC-2s and DC-3s. He will have to upgrade the units and the C-47s may not be numerous at this time. Next, put a low, small percentage LRCAP over that base and any base that they might be flying to in order to increase OPS losses. [:D]
That 87th Mountain regiment is one that he had to buy out. I think that it leaves later so he can't get that back. The Marine regiment will be part of a division, losing that could make that Marine division less experienced since about one third of it will be replacements. Keep a LRCAP over the base to knock down any PBYs trying to extract any parts of units. Don't forget a minefield there or minisubs.
Changsha, bombard with only the artillery and let the ground units rest. He has a lot of support but no additional AT guns nor artillery so think about bringing in armour units. Bomb night and day to reduce his supplies through usage and keep him from rebuilding forts. Bomb from as many different bases and altitudes to get as many different raids as is possible since each attack causes the supply usage to increase 10%.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing!

Man, Joe. You are such a great wealth of information and give your advice so freely. Your a godsend to us players that don't know what we're doing. or maybe i'm the only one. I don't know. But THANK YOU>
i was a little reluctant to LRCAP Ledo with 117 fighters there. I guess i could try it and see how it goes.

I think you're in great shape. Not sure how much supply you expended to get the A6M5c that early, but you're good at this point. You may know this already, but don't upgrade the Nicks to the next version (the cannon can't hit anything)
How is the R&D looking on the Next Gen fighters, like N1K1 and Ki-84? Are you investing in the D4Y line?
R&D looks good overall but I wonder if you over invested in the Jill. I feel like ots not a massive improvement over the B5N, not worth the expense. And you don't need a high production rate either, even with supersized groups. Thats my two yen....
