Been playing Third Age Total War: Divide and Conquer mod for the past couple of weeks. Version 4.5 update was released in April I think and I'm loving it so far. Awesome mod to an already great mod. Standalone file, all you need is Medieval total war 2 installed, no digging around for twenty different mod files.

Imperial glory ! Can't find any other game with that kind of gameplay, it's like Rome total war but napoleonic era. There's the whole map of Europe.
And no, this is not like Napoleon total war, I played it, and it's stuck on historical accuracy and you don't have an entire map where you can do what you want, which basically sucks because this would give the game all its value, but that's my opinion. That's also why I don't play NTW.
2001 game, I'd say underrated, never met anyone who knows about it. Can't post a link due to my new account, if you will excuse me !

Greetings valentin56610,
I have Imperial Glory and likes the gameplayat strategic & tactical level. I did not like the militia since they were too powerful on the battlefield.
Instead of scattering in a battle they fought like imperial guard units in melee. There were a few patches which addressed the militia issue to a degree.
The naval ship to ship combat was good for 2 to 4 ships but became unwieldy with higher ship numbers.

Hi!
Oh wow, well you might be the first person I know (After my dad) who owns the game / already played it !

Okay I see what you mean. They still put up a great fight even after the patches, I can assure you. Only way is to make them go round with cavalry and shoot them while doing so!

Now about the naval battles. There was a button to order one of your boat to follow an enemy boat. But other than that, I think this kind of battle isn't something you could easily if not at all reproduce in a game, since all ships were fighting in columns and there were many. Gameplay wise, it's not even that interesting I think. Less tactics than on the ground and all the combination you can get with cav + infantry + infantry etc

Recently I've played Field of Glory II, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Elite Dangerous.

I got Warplan a few weeks ago - but I haven't got around to trying it yet.

Well what was the challenge here for European truck simulation? Any bad roads with bumper. In 2011 in the past I worked as agency to Ro-ro shipping from Pendik(Istanbul) to Trieste (Italy). Imagine Lorry driver fighting. That should be challenge for patience.[:D]

No driver fights in the simulation. [:D]

The game is far easier than the reality. I'm not very good in the game and so I would be a rubbish driver in real life.

I might get the DLC that includes Istanbul at some point.

Matrix World In Flames.

Patiently waiting for the next patch for Bombing the Reich so that I can begin a new long campaign as Germany.

Zorch. Isn't it time for you to widen your horizon and begin playing the greatest Grand Strategy game of them all, MWIF.

I'm likely going to go and play some Steel Panthers. It's my go to game.

I sure wish I could play against the AI. Just read a post in the forum that it won't even be ready by 2022. I don't care to play both sides. Too easy to know what the other side is planning... [:-]

I mostly play it by email. I currently have 4 email games going. One 6-player game, two 5-playes games, and one 4 player game.

The game itself doesn't support play by email but it is easy enough to get around by mailing saves.

Fair enough. [:)]

I've settled with just following some of the action in War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition. [:)]

I just finished a run at Crusader Kings II (with all expansions installed) from 769 to 1452. This time I started as one of the many Norse warlords, founded the Empire of Scandinavia and then I had to defend it from assault after assault of those Catholic heathens - with France that never formed and Hispania and Germany joined in an unholy alliance. I could only counteract with Vikings raids which procured me the gold I used to pay tons of mercenaries. Very tense stuff (the last 150 years were an uninterrupted sequel of crusades, raids and revolts). Next time I'll join The Followers of Hel secret society, just out of spite. According to Steam's records it took me 95+ hours to complete the campaign.

Now I guess I'll play either European Truck Simulator II or the American counterpart. Why these games are so involving, I can't say. However, one of the best (and underrated) games for Intellivision was Truckin', so maybe there is something to the theme...

Also planning a massive ToT strike against North Korea in Command:Modern Operations and the "North Korea Missile Crisis" DLC.
