The TF composition and lack of DDs was totally dictated by chance; I had all these heavy cruisers coming out from October's refit at Sydney and I had lots of destroyers entering refit on November. I didn't have enough DDs at Sydney to form properly escorted TFs; therefore I sent them all to Darwin with the idea of sorting out once they arrive, as there were other TFs with spare DDs there

Biggest news of the turn was two strikes against Japanese carriers; Stingray missed vs Hiyo, while Truant scored a hit against Chuyo.
Without any hint of major damage or explosion, I have to assume it was not severely damaged and therefore will likely withdraw to Soerabaja for repairs. That is unless the submarines catch him again
Still great news because he will be afraid, from now on, of keeping the carriers patrolling the same area for too long

Other news: He tested Manado air defenses and the test was passed with honors. In his email he mentioned this was a recon mistake. The end result was 136 air losses, mostly A6M2, but also Betties and Sallys

Yes, but I would guess there are big daily production numbers, which make it difficult to replace. His carrier squadrons are all flying A6M5s. And of course, as you can see, I can't yet field anything better than old P-40Es and P-39Ds. I have P-38s but on less vulnerable bases. And I had P-40Ks recently, but moved them to Watampone as that is where the fight was happening

Is there an easy place to see how many ?
I would guess 9 if each base group has one

I have so many spare base forces, HQs, etc at Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville and embarked in TF that I can easily double that number with minimal impact to the other theaters. Same goes for British bases, too many LCUs and base forces at Ceylon and Bangladesh, not enough naval forces to break the LBA defense perimeter and use them

that said priorities for Manado are as follows:
- mines, more mines, at least 1050 to keep 7 ACMs busy
- an AGP for resupplying PTs, should arrive soon
- CS guns, on their way

I think any AKE with capacity to handle torpedoes can also rearm PTs. They do so for subs. All the AGP gives you is a bit more help with repairs - if you ever have a PT that survives damage. [:D]

Base force probably has two radars each. Not sure on the Advance Base Force.

I am not aware of any quick way to check devices. I end up using tracker a lot for things like that. Device, pool history, sort by location.
