Question regarding airgroup loadout

Post by Torben23 »

Hi, which loadout do you chose in level bombers for strategic bombing? Incendiary also good for attacking industries, u-boats, etc.? Or incendiary only when you go for housing bombing? Thank you!

If you keep Bomber Command to night then the standard mix is good, incendiaries = manpower pts, the bomb load is good enough for HI. If you send it to hit the U-Boats flip to heavy bombs.

Incendiaries are no use unless manpower is on your target list. Beyond that, try to use 1000lb bombs if you can, but very heavy bombs seem to work better over U-boats

For Lancasters, the last loadout - 14x1000lb bombs, is best for attacking industrial targets.
