[1.04b9] Secret option for a flag - monotone unit colour

Post by demiare »

It's either bug or easter egg but in this save my starting regime have monotone flag with UNIT color. This option isn't available for player (and don't look sane as will lead to unused primary color).

P.S. I'm sorry for wasting your time with minor bugs =/

Actually about a third of the time my initial monotone color is unit color and to get the other one I click monotone again then you can not get unit color back.

Could you explain this a bit more, just for my curiosity?

The monotone flag with UNIT color, is that abnormal?

I have not paid much, if any, attention to regime colors. Black-Red for evil tyrants leaves little room for experimentation.

I looked at the savegame, interesting planet roll.

It is not abnormal for me but kinda rare and once you change it back to main color you can't go back to unit color.

If you don't mind another post, please break it down for me barney-style.

I know primary and secondary colors; you can change the flag color scheme to be a mix of the two.

You can't change the colors in the middle of the game.

The secondary color is the unit icon color, but you could make the primary and secondary colors the same color with the color picker control.

The icons are annoying because (1) there only a few, (2) no add your own, and (3) other regimes seem to pick first when rolling a planet.

What other normal behaviors, if any, am I missing?

Is the primary color, in this case, used as the unit icon color, and then the secondary color is ignored? Under those circumstances, the regime uses one color only (e.g. flag, units, etc.)?

I noticed in the savegame, before using the interface, the flag didn't match the colors in the selector. That is likely a UI bug.

Never used unit color for primary I just know occasionally it starts that way.

Yes. Because "PRIMARY COLOR" tooltip clearly say that this color will be used for flag only and in that case it isn't used at all.

Maybe it's obsolete tooltip. Maybe it's invisible 5th button "monotone with unit color". But something is definitely wrong here [:D]
