[Logged] ASuW Patrol mission issue.

Post by SkyhawkSG1 »

I have 2 A-1H Skyraiders assigned to a ASuW Patrol (Naval) in Yankee Team 1966 and despite the issue that I cannot manually show them which contact to verify they do their job almost ok.
The problem is they can linger effectively forever over some "unfriendly" unarmed junk, buzzing it to provoke it or something instead of going for identified hostile NVA boats. The "Disengage" command again, does nothing. They get stuck in an endless loop.

Do I have to attach a save?

Please address the "Disengage" command, if nothing else. It fails to work in any situation.

I'd like to use this moment to point out some QoL improvements similar to this:
- Allow a command that can point a patrolling unit to investigate a contact.

- Add an option to mission AAW settings for aircraft to never (or just mostly) go below a certain altitude.
If I know it's a trap and I'll be severely disadvantaged then I want my CAP to stay higher and not get pulled into it.
The Disengage command also fails to work when an enemy strays into my prosecution zone and then turns back.
This pulls my CAP into a possible trap but still the flight constantly turns to Engaged Offensive every 2 seconds.

Yes, a save helps the devs see what you are seeing as the issue.

They should see it too, since we're using the same software. Right?

Check flight Red Dog36.
