Clickable link in load task force screen to correct mode

Post by Lowpe »

I learn something new all the time.[:)]

This is the load screen for a transport task force. The only unit is not in the proper mode, but can be changed by clicking the status switch.

Perhaps not the ideal game solution where a task force is under threat, but if you are looking to save clicks it is quite handy.

but if you change to/ from strategic mode, it will need a turn or two (sometimes three) to get ready, the ships will be waiting until then,

OMG!

Thank You.

I never even thought of it but it makes perfect sense.

I have now learned something new for the day. I am officially ready for my nap. Just one more turn......

Gee, I am relatively new and I knew that! [:D]

This was added to in one of the early patches. Probably explains why you only recently noticed it.[;)]

I actually found it re-reading the patch notes.[:)] It is simply greyed out on my monitor in game, but for whatever reason printscreen and paint allows it to show up as a link. Over the years, I have noticed my paint graphics are a little crisper and easier to read than in game graphics. No doubt I am doing something wrong with my settings.

Slightly off topic, but in the other thread you mentioned that you put the patch notes into a word processor.

There shouldn't be any need to do so. The main directory should have two readme files. Clicking on one should automatically load it into Word/Adobe with their respective "find" capability.

For me they have different dates, so I always default to the newest. Never checked to see if they are actually different.
