Think I will pause playing this fine game

Post by Twotribes »

Every few days a new beta and it always changes MAJOR things. I am tired of starting over just to have to do it again in 3 days or a week.

I rolled back to 1.04.00. I wish I had some of the beta features, but the official patch is also more stable.

I did that a couple of weeks ago after playing around 50 hours pretty quickly. I'll come back when Vic get's the major changes worked out. Not like i don't have anything else to play, picked up some title's during the Tiller sale.

I am playing a little Steel Panthers Main Battle Tank and have a game of GD1938 from Advanced Tactics going. I have Warplan but it ticked me off too.

Yup, I did the same with Warplan. The betas have slowed and I'll probably go back in after the next official update. Both are real good games with awesome support.

Don't get me wrong I am happy he is improving the game but it is just so frustrating.

I've been putting off starting a PBEM until 1.05 too. It's fine, it's better to not commit to things until the game is more stable/balanced.

Still using the major update '1.07b' in a 'pbem' game.
Great patch for its' additional content & no noticeable issues per stability & execution...except mine. [:)]
I adhere to the theory, don't wait for tomorrow to do what you would like to do today...it may not come.

Pausing the game waiting for updates is fine, I've done it in many games (especially Paradox Interactive strategy games), but at least here I dont really feel "forced" to play the betas. I think I tried 2 of the latest ones, and dont really see any point in abandoning a game just to update (at least if I feel it is an interesting one).

I've also put it aside for awhile. Not saying I've lost interest, just next time I play I want at least all core elements locked down.

I'm waiting for the Steam release. I already put in 70 hours, so I can wait for now.

I still excited to jump back in when it reaches that milestone.
