France still holds out in Lyon and Bordeaux. German troops enter Tunisia.
No buildup of forces in the east, however German forces build up on the Spanish border.

France holds out in Lyon.

Turn 37: January 17, 1941

Germany declares war on Spain in pouring rain. Unfortunately the nearest ally is France so all resources go to them.

Turn 38: January 31, 1941

Germany is completely bogged down in Spain in the poor weather. France is still artificially alive in Lyon.

Turn 39: February 14, 1941

German attacks fail to take Barcelona.

The UK builds 2 large corps.

There are some really bizzare Axis deployments in the east.

Germany attacks Hungary. I pm my opponent to confirm that he really wants to continue this game(?!)

I can only assume he is doing this to get to Yugoslavia. But all he has to do is wait for France to surrender and he'll get Hungary. He just needs one clear turn to kill off the last unit in Lyon.

Invading Spain in the rain is poetic, but questionable.

The Axis strategy is certainly unique, but not in a good way. Another sucker going for the '42 Barbarossa ?(sorry)

Germany takes Algiers.

Canada builds a large corps. US builds the 2nd Armor. UK builds the 1st Airborne.

Turn 42: March 28, 1941

Spain loses 4 corps.
The Axis attack Greece.

We set up the Greek defense as best we can.

The UK builds an armoured corps.

Turn 43: April 11, 1941

Spain's days are numbered.

The Soviets build 2 tank corps.

Heavy rain all over Europe. UK builds an armour corps.

Turn 45: May 9, 1941

Spain, Hungary, France and Greece still cling to their independence.

Gibraltar is abandoned by the UK.

Spain and Hungary surrender.

The UK leaves Greece to defend itself. Soviets build 2 tanks, UK builds a tactical bomber.

France surrenders!

British reinforcements, including a fighter, arrive in Egypt.

Soviets build two tank corps.

Greece is standing fast. Drakos is on his way to Sofia!

Germany declares war on Portugal (no attacks yet) and Yugoslavia.

The French fleet joins the UK.

US builds a strategic bomber. UK builds an armour corps.
