Turn 32 on 22 January 42 in 12.05 campaign. Fail an attack with 91 and 89 morale infantry divisions at final ratio 1.42:1.00 and they both lost a morale point. Manual specifically states that attackers never lose morale, and none of the other conditions for morale loss are met.

Was it downn to replacements?

If the losses were heavy and the unit was above the national average then replacements could reduce their morale.
