Axis won the initiative with a roll of 7 versus 4 for the Allies. Allied decline to re-roll. Axis go first.

First impulse of Mar/Apr 1940 and Axis got all they could ask for. Very nice weather. The turn advance slowly. And they go first.
I could almost say that it is an Axis dream come through.
And I would bet all the US saved BPs that the evil empires will launch some dastardly plan, or perhaps even an offensive. And that they will grin evilly, and rub their hands together, during their entire planning stage. Any number of Bond villains comes to mind. [:)]

The Germans and Italians push further into the south of France - Did you enjoy those French girls Triebig? - I did not have much time for those French girls.....
Gents I've handed over to AllenK for the Japanese and Italian moves. I suspect I won't be attacking tonight but will look to do this tomorrow morning.

The Germans bring in an Hs-123. Do the French wish to bring in aircraft of their own? They have the three aircraft shown.
The Germans can intercept with the aircraft shown (plus a 3-factor Bf-110)
Note: The Italians are bringing in no aircraft in the Alps (odds 34:8 - 4:1) but can intercept with a fighter as shown.
