John Tiller's Panzer Campaigns

Post by Freyr Oakenshield »

I wonder why John Tiller hasn't made any Panzer Campaigns simulating military actions in the theatre of operations of Army Group North so far... It's simply not fair... I'd love to play a game like that [:(] We have so many titles for Army Group South, Centre, let alone the Western Front, the Mediterranean, and so on... Come on! We need Army Group North...!! edit: I know there are his spies on this forum; that's why I'm posting this--I want them to see that and report [;)]

Greetings Freyr Oakenshield,
As a JTS customer of Panzer Campaigns I do not know why Army Group North operations have not been tackled in the East front series.
Keep in mind that Army Group North was also involved in the invasion of Poland as well: (Panzer Campaign Poland '39)?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army_Group_North

Decisive Campaigns Blitzkrieg Warsaw to Paris covers it:
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=853

John Tiller's Campaign Series (the updated Talensoft East Front, West Front & Rising Sun Pacific Front) has several Army Group North scenarios for Leningrad.
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=226

I have suggested possible game consideration for the following with JTS Software by email:
American Indian Frontier Wars (Civil war engine)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Indian_Wars

The Boer Wars (Civil War engine or Squad Battles engine or WW I engine)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Boer_War

The Crimean War (Civil War engine)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_W ... d%20France.

The Zulu Wars (Civil War engine or Squad Battles engine)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Zulu_War

The Russo-Japanese War (WW1 engine)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russo-Japanese_War

The Sino-Japanese War (Panzer Campaign engine)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Sino-Japanese_War

That is my wish list

What I would really like to see is any one of Gregory "Sturmer" Smith's solo board games go to PC.... such as Zeppelin Raider / THe hunters / silent victory / or night interceptor;

I know you can ply them on tabletop simulator, but I want the PC to do the job I hired it for...[;)]

Us spies are here and taking note [:D]

We always have a lot of interesting projects being worked on. It just comes down to if/when they see the light of day...

I prefer see more South front titles... specially one to cover the first months of war where axis forces are less powerfull and with romanian troops to made it more interesting.

North... well, if they add the Finland part... a title with Winter War + the battles in the frontiers + Leningrad... and a variant with finland on the road to Leningrad!!!

PD: a Poland39 title is another interesting one but with more what if power inside... like soviets/germans attacking each other, presence of a small expeditionary force from France-GB before war started...

PD2: if are spies why not cover wars between both WW, we have action in Poland, Spain and well far east... China is a big unknow in west... i have not a lot idea about it but looks like the type of war with a lot to teach.

Ukraine '41 would be very nice indeed...
