Can I encourage Militia to replenish formations?

Can I encourage Militia to replenish formations?

Some of my militia units have taken casualties, and annoyingly a Mechanized unit lost a truck and now has to move at foot speed. It has been a long time since this happened, and the Militia has raised another Mechanized unit since then, so they clearly had the spare trucks.

How can I get the Militia to replenish the units they already have in the field before deploying new ones?
