Obviously, it's a support Titan, meant to rain death from afar while allies rush in to finish the job. I've had moderate success with it. I also attached an xchange file if anyone would like to try it.

Looks good, but how's the heat in battle? Looks like it may run hot... I'd try to get the heat down to at least -3.0C/sec minimum, but thats me looking at the 'paperwork' I haven't had it out on the battlefield.

Heat's not a problem unless firing on the run, which isn't this Titan's intended purpose. Firing all four weapons takes heat to 50.0C, and by the time the AC7s recycle heat is down around 7-8C. I'm also in the habit of interspersing Active Scans after firing the AC7s when the HMGs haven't recycled, thus reducing the ammo usage on the HMGs (notice the AC7s have much more ammo). This usually allows for a few extra seconds of cool down. Quick and dirty math using average heat retention (Heat / Recycle) has the Titan heating .228C per second. This translates to heat being around 13.7C after 1 minute of continuous firing, plus 5 or 10C if flares were deployed.

I haven't had a heat problem with this Titan. Long before it has a chance to overheat, the bad guys go boom.

Obviously you aren't testing it against napalm-missile foes. :)

That's hillarious. Beautiful timing on that comment. Right after I posted that, I played Metaborator 1, and had to fight a Fire Giant. Treated it like a LR Titan and rushed it with my CC Titans. Pain... much pain...

Mental note: next time, check the weapons table for ranges before committing to CC.

Oh, I won, by the way :D

Anyway, with the difference in ammo supplies, any time the Titan gets hot, just fire AC7s only. The HMGs have consistently lower to-hit numbers anyway, so save the ammo.

I originally had Millenia on the CT as well, but I needed more space, so I had to switch to Titanium. Millenia on the CT had heat at -2.74C/sec.
