Round start takes forever end turn is hell

After the AI finishes its moves to the point where it is supposed to be my turn is when this problem starts, simply it takes forever. I have clocked this as taking 40mins I'm not kidding
Not sure if its my specs (which surpass the requirements) or because I'm playing on a massive planet (6800km) during mid/late game (past turn 100) but this is what is happening to my game, I am playing the standard game, no mods, fairly certain its not the beta etc.
If anyone has a solution I will appreciate it.

While my turn times are nowhere near as long as yours I have noticed that turns on large planets take significant longer even if they relatively depopulated.

I would try a new game with the latest beta patch on a small or normal sized world and see how you go with that.

It's mostly caused by amount of regimes (including minors). I started my new game on average-sized planets with a lot of regimes & extra violence history options - and each turn take ~three times more then my previous game. But yean, I have 12 majors (almost 11 already [:D]).

It's possible the level of FOW contributes to the AI turn length. I'll have to play a few more games in order to compare settings.

I would try a new game with the latest beta patch on a small or normal sized world and see how you go with that.

I only have 6 majors does the beta help with the turn time or should I just go to work when I click the end turn button

It's hard to say as I'm rushed throw all beta releases. My personal impression that game became a bit faster, but only a bit. So I was over-optimistic to use extra regimes option as 12 are definitely too much for my PC (honestly quite obsolete one).

At least I will try it as I able to get extremely beautiful world (single source of water on a whole planet) & unique start (completely isolated since start by rogue AI, 2 majors and nomand - with no option but go early war with a major... and I get plasma tank from a single village available in uncontested area [:D]). First time I will not get economic council in first ~10-20 turns (energy? AI capitals + two geysers! industry? AI capitals! all I need is a strong army, lol).

Crazy game. Each turn take a minute or even a few, but I still like it. [8D]

great because its my first 7 days I cant post the picture showing what my problem is exactly
Ill do my best to tell what it shows
it shows my empires bar ready no ai moves being made atm but it wont let me actually enter my turn/give me the prompt

If this situation happen again after reloading your save - please send save-file and description of what's happening on vic@vrdesigns.net

Hi Obergamer,

Thanks for the save. But it seems you are still on a version before 1.03.

I strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version (v1.05 is coming today if all goes well)

That should improve the turn time a lot!
