Is GOG updated with patches like Steam

Hey all,
I'm curious if GOG is updated with patches at the same rate as Steam? I know that Steam usually has them baked in, but am not sure about GOG. All of the CC games I own are on GOG and I'd prefer to keep it that way. Easier to manage. This is more of a question of where to buy CC:TBF. Thanks!

Nothing? really? Not even a dev or administrator can answer this question? I'm looking to spend some money here.

My understanding is that Steam is the easiest place, logistically speaking, for Slitherine to drop beta updates for feedback and to rollout new updates directly to players. So it is the most frequently updated. GOG and Matrix updates are released shortly after a new update become official but do not typically get beta updates.

There have sometimes been update delays with various games on GoG in comparison to Steam, but I'm not sure about CC.
