Enforcement taxation bonuses question

Post by Lovenought »

Do the +% bonuses to "Taxation" that you get from the Enforcement tree increase the amount of BP you get as a result of economic activity? Or does it just increase credit income?

Population, not specifically economic activity, but yes. The Enforcement tax bonuses function as a multiplier to the service tax (and not other types of taxes, unlike some misleading in-game tooltips claim). The service tax does the following (Manual 5.3.14.1.):
Expect the following Service Tax income:
§ 20% of Credit income generated by Private production and the Hidden Economy, modified for Administration Skill of Governor.
§ 6% + (1% per Regime Tech Level) of Pop/100 in Industrial Points (IP).
§ 1.5% + (0.5% per Regime Admin Level) of Pop/100 in Bureaucratic
Points (BP).
Although governors don't appear to make Administration skill rolls, so I'm not sure if the manual is correct regarding that affecting anything.
