Turn 6. July/Aug 1940. Corsica & Sardinia.

While axis armies and airforces were ravaging French and British forces in mainland France an interesting drama was playing out on the Mediterranean islands of Corsica and Sardinia. The French 1st division supported by the RAF managed to slip across the straights from Corsica to Sardinia and capture the Italian port of Olbia on the Italian Coast.

More interesting though when France signed the armistice and agreed to Vichy, Corsica became part of Vichy and so did the captured port of Olbia on Sardinia. Though Mussolini tried his best to have Hitler force the return of Olbia back to Italy, Hitler wouldn't budge.

Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. US Entry.

1. FDR continues to work around the isolationist and somehow gets approval for US naval forces to escorts convoys off the US East Coast.

Competitive:
1. One thing I overlooked was what was required to intern the French CV Bearn. The US certainly had the required entry level. What they didn't "have" was that Paris was French controlled.
2. So, the US misses out on a free transport, or CVL.
3. Live and Learn. [8D]
