The Italian gains 6 surprise points, and have the option to avoid the port strike. I will continue with the assumption that they will do so. Can always go back and remedy the situation if I was in error. (Axis 1, Allies 7)

M/A 40 Axis 7

No DoW or alignments.

Land: Germany
Combined: Italy and Japan.

Italy flies a NAV and LND to the East Med 3-box.

Japan sends 2 TRANS and CL to China Sea 2-box and loads MILs from Tientsin and the mainland. Another Trans and CL sails to the 2-box from Japan and loads a further MIL from the mainland.

Italian TRANS at Tobruk sails to East Med. Do the Allies want to intercept?

Caradoc is already disorganised so use the Effingham instead.

On a 5, the intercept fails and the TRANS puts into La Spezia.

Z.501 initiates naval combat for the Italians. Allies can add Blenheim and Hampden to the 2-box. Hampden can make the 3-box on extended range. Any taking to the skies?

Searches: Axis 3, Allies 1. Both find.

Does the Swordfish want to fly as a fighter or bomber?

Allies have given the Italians a mild shock. Do they want to use 2 surprise points now or later?
