Launcher does not open

After several weeks happily playing Warplan, last week the launcher stopped working.

I was able to launch the game via the quick start option but now, three times, that option has delivered error messages. The latest was that my pc was unable to run this app.

Each time, I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled the game and update. I am then able to play for a while until the next unpredictable failure. I noticed that after reinstallation there was a brief message about the options being corrupted but this seemed to correct and I saw no way to do anything about this.

I have downloaded the files anew from Matrix each time.

I run the game under Windows 10 with 8gb RAM and a 2gb graphics card. I have no similar problems with other Matrix games (eg TOAW) or Slitherine games.

delete this file and it will recreate it.
C:\Users\"your user name"\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\options.dat

It should normally recreate an options file if it is corrupted.
