Allies losses during German turn

Post by Mendeth »

It's April 1945 vs AI and as the Allies I am suffering high losses - between 8,000-12,000 - during the German turn, without any combat. Is there any way of finding out where I'm losing these men?

EDIT: I would add an image but I'm a new user.

Thanks!

front line attrition and small skirmish, you also loose some procent every turn on that account

OK thanks. I was just a bit confused because the numbers seem quite high; from what I can tell the the Germans have 50-200 permanent losses per turn whilst I have 10,000.

the morale level has an impact on that, therefore difference between the Russians and the Germans and the numbers of men

be a bit careful in this interpretation. There are all sorts of odd quirks in the shown turn losses, if I recall you open the turn with the losses from your logistics phase (which are minimal on the other side) showing.

The best way to track this transition is manually. Write down German losses at the end of your turn and compare this to the numbers shown in your next turn.

They pick up a lot in 1945 as their army falls apart.

But yes, you have a lot at this phase and it simply reflects you now have a large army and its mostly in contact (& often at the end of relatively poor supply lines)

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to remember to track the opponent's losses in my next campaign.

American desertion levels were noticeably higher than German desertion in the last months of the war. Is that taken into account?
God made man, but Sam Colt made them equal.

What version of the game are you using? The current version is 1.02.59. There were some changes in code between about 1.02.45 and the latest to reduce Allied attrition, particularly of armored vehicles.
