Best upgrades for Hurricane IICs?

Post by Tachobill »

Any thoughts about the best aircraft to upgrade the Hurricane IIC to? I mostly use them for interdiction and railroad ground attacks. I'm thinking the Typhoon and eventually the Tempest, but I'm curious about other thoughts, especially since the Tempest arrives in large numbers pretty late into the game, IIRC.

Thanks!

don't ...

they are excellent ground attack planes once their rocket loadout is available. Not as good as the Typhoons but you don't have that manty of them. I'd flip Spitfire formations to FB (as Typhoon) and keep the Hurricane IICs. One option is to swap a few to H IV - there is a very juicy anti-tank loadout for them (using very heavy machine guns).

Good to use in GA-unit missions when you hope/know you will be hitting a Pzr/Pzrgr formation.
