[1.05b1] Major diplomacy rolls won but cancelled by next turn

Post by Malevolence »

With respect to major diplomacy stratagems, all the stratagems can be won by roll, but the game will cancel the agreement without notice before the player's next turn.

The stratagems' agreements do not appear to have a cool down. In other words, the agreement does not remain for at least a set number of rounds the player can predict.

Worse the player is not informed the agreement was cancelled. Only checking the regime report will disclose that the agreement is not working.

Device is Windows 10 Pro 64bit, version 2004 (v19041.421), Intel i7-1065G7 1.30Ghz, 16GB RAM. It is a Surface Pro 7, connected to 2560x1600 display monitor via USB-C. Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics.

For reference, Game Build v 1.05-beta1; Scenario Build 1.05-beta1; Last Game Build used 1.05-beta1; Scenario Version Number #53.

I would suggest you to share the save, otherwise Vic could have a harder time to see if its intended or not.

You sure there is no report in the Letterbox?

The AI has its own mind of course.

But if you have a save game where after pressing next turn a deal gets removed, please do send it over by email, with a link to this thread.

best wishes,
Vic

The AI has its own mind of course.

But it doesn't have it's own mind. You have tied a player cost and random roll to the AI's mind. Your design has to live the consequences of that roll.

If not, the player cannot trust your rolls or their costs-benefits.

All of the savegames were sent via link when I posted these problems. Did you receive the email?

Yes I received the email. Thanks for reminding me. But it is hard to figure out which turn corresponds with this post.

Per the images, see major diplomacy actions taken on or about Turn 125. I tested this error over more than a few turns there.

Ok thanks. Found it. Checked it out and yes your skills are helping them in accepting deals, they on reflection do not really support.

Added this for some improvements to the to-do list.

Best,
Vic
