Airborne Raiders

Hey I am looking for some clarification on bombers raiding convoy routes. Any bombers can do this right? Provided they are set to raider mode and within range of a convoy route. Also, can you use all your strikes on other land targets and they will still raid or do you need to keep a strike available?
