Norway minefield not appearing after conquest (9U3)

I started a 1939 game.

I had Germany immediately DOW Norway.

Norway moved out of Oslo

Next turn a single German division took Oslo and Norway surrendered.

Now 3 turns later and still no minefields west of Oslo.

I moved then to a script that activates AFTER the conquest of Norway.

This way the Germans can invade Norway without invading Denmark.

And it didn't work in my test. However, do the Germans need both Norway and Denmark (notes just say Norway).

Germany conquered Norway in my example and screenshot above and there is no minefield.

Hence the steps I outlined:

Might be another cause I just thought of.

I assumed that because it was a script, it was only a scenario change. I didn't install B3 EXE, just the scenarios (didn't want to impact some ongoing games).

But is this new script functionality that requires B3 or higher?

Correct. Scripts are imported into the scenarios.

But it should work. I'll test it myself.

You are right the script is off apparently. But this shouldn't impact the game itself.

Agreed - it just means the minefields will never show - no different than it has been.

I just had "The Mandela Effect" happen to me. I swore I made this change. I even remember looking up what the name of the strait was between Norway and Denmark.

But the added scripts weren't there in the events.txt

I added them, verified, and re-uploaded the scenarios just now.

NOTE - If you don't take Denmark you won't be able to mine their half of the straight.

Will run a test to help verify it is working as you outlined, but wanted to say I think you've landed on a cool implementation. Adds further incentive to take both Denmark and Norway.

Tests:

1. Took Denmark, then Oslo. Both minefields laid.

2. Did not take Denmark first, took Norway. One minefield on Norwegian side.

3. Then took Denmark. No minefield laid on Denmark side.

I assume once both are taken, both minefields should be laid. Should another event exist on fall of Denmark that places minefield on Danish side?
