If Division A is short of devices x, y, z and there are beaucoup of x, y, and z in the pools but device z is set to stockpile in the pools, Division A will only receive devices x and y if it's replacements toggle has been turned on.

Or to put into simpler terms, Milo has seen the colour green and has decided to supply x and y on credit but is still haggling over the price of z, so no sale of z until the contract has been drawn up by Cheathem et al.

One brigade of 9th Aus only has 500 men and missing most of heavy weapon categories. I can't remember if they were crushed in the fighting in Oz or they came into the game that way.

9th Aus Div is the last of the Aus Div's to arrive from North Africa. Arriving in Aden in the regular scn's. IIRC its also the best of the Aussie "North African" Div's quality wise and it arrives pretty full. So i suspect the first of the two options is correct.

Sumatra: I landed some 100 Aussie Pioneers from USS Nautilus at Bengkalis on the NE coast of Sumatra. The base was unoccupied so there was no attack on day 1 and the base remained in Jap hands. They were spotted of course. On day 2 I order an attack to take the place. The Aussies apparently got to "go first" (walked unopposed into town) and then were shock-attacked by about 800 men of 1st Raiding Regt. Both sides shot each other up pretty good but the advantage went to the Aussies and they held the town. This is gradually using up their para units. It's tremendous fun.

Anyway, they are angered and smash the place with bombers on the 9th. This takes the pressure off Batoe and Sinabang
