How long do you think you can keep the Carriers on station around the Marianas Lowpe?
RE: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
The Empire is upset -- from a secret communication channel (with approval):
Screamed into my coffee when that 20cm shell bounced off Lexington's flight deck
Those SBD drivers were very impressive. I didn't think they could hit anything for the first 6 months.
Working on Lok's turn today...so this one probably won't get finished till tonight or tomorrow.

Not sure...I was tempted last turn to go meet the Baby carrier and battleships coming from Formosa...would have worked too, but also cost some high value ships from the thundering herd...

This can't be meant seriously. There are lot of examples in AAR section how to punish Japan early.

It is hard to nail Japanese SAGs (with cruisers) early on with SBDs. CLs are usually very vulnerable because of weak flak, but cruisers with decent AA destroyers it is tough. Japanese merchant ships of course are easily savaged.

Well is possible to decimate KB early so how can anyone with experience rely that SBDs won't hit cruisers

I rarely start reading AARs so early in the campaign, but this one looks really promising.
By the way, I love that map, I think I’ll download it, if there’s a version for stock.

Thundering Herd continues there retreat...not sure how he is getting torpedoes on these planes as the runways are size 3 in the Marianas.

Lots of torpedo carrying planes strike...Betties/Nells and Mavis...for some our CAP works well...the only torpedo hits are on relatively worthless ships that are straggling.

Found some hunting cruisers...our Swordfish were using bombs, expecting a fast transport type invasion of Diego Garcia. NO hits...

I believe the KB is somewhere in this area...perhaps he is going to come at PM past Horn Island and grab Darwin while he is at it.

My experience has been that size 3 with an Air HQ and enough supplies having Nells/Betties with torpedoes are no problem.ORIGINAL: Lowpe

There is an old thread where the specific quantums are listed. I decided to not provide that data as it can be retrieved by those interested.
