Here's the TOE of a tank div. Was crap in real life but is a potent unit in WITP, especially if you mass them. Same as with super KB, I mass all my tank divs in one spot.

As to the LST, neither do I accelerate them nor do I really have use for them.

WHAAAT?! [X(] B-29 attacking... I wasn't expecting to see B-29 at this date already, let alone on Ceylon... Mundy said he wasn't expecting that much CAP over Rangoon but it's my main base in the area so that shouldn't be that much surprising... what strikes me again is the dumb behaviour of the airroutine of having all but the last three bombers shot down, then it's 5 minutes of never ending messages like "3 Franks scrambling" until the max number of CAP fighters is airborne and the combat ends with always the last three bombers not being attacked... silly, have seen it over KB with every 10 bomber attack vs 800 fighters on CAP and it's the same here... silly... but hey, the perfect airroutine after all...

CVL Ibuki joined the fleet today, the last carrier to be built... it's early 44 and we have built all major ships except Shinano which was "cancelled" on day one... now all our big slips are empty with Japan controlling most of the map... if I just could build some more destroyers, cruisers or the like... oh well... when Ibuki joins super KB it will bring total strenght to over 1500 carrier based aircraft...

Shame that we couldn't produce any more ships of the Ibuki class Cruiser and Carrier variant but a 2009 game could only go so far, the odds of the Japanese getting this far in the war is like 1:50 or more so this problem is rarely encountered in the game.

If the Bofos are this bad at 1944 India then what is it going to look like at 1944 Marshalls invasion 3.0... Or maybe a Solomon's Islands/New Gunnies campaign or a Kurils campaign to land USAAF planes in Russia or a operation to land in the SRA.

I noticed several coastal AAA units at the site you bombarded from the air and lost 50+ bombers. What type of weapons does the coastal AAA have? Maybe that accounted for your severe loses?

No, the hex I bombed didn't have any coastal AA units, that's why I checked the ground units in the ground combat the day earlier. There must have been quite some other units fielding AA though.

and this one was both surprising and highly annoying... surprising because those Liberators were drawn in from Ceylon by a minelaying RN sub (so the mine laying mission actually did damage -> to the RAF [:D]) and annoying because it's the same stupid sh*t with the air routine as always... we have quite some fighters in the air and the easily down those Navy Liberators one after another... and when there were only three bombers left? It's the same idiotic behaviour I have mentioned a couple of times already, the routine starts to go into asshole mode, myriads of messages of "3 Franks scrambling" until the exact maximum of fighters on CAP is reached and then the combat is over... makes it the usual three bombers to make it 100% safe through the CAP... seen with 800 fighters on CAP vs 8 bombers, seen with 150 fighters vs 10 bombers, it's always the same... go and keep praising that silly stuff...

How much of that convoy's AAA value was in light guns? How much in heavy guns? That may be the difference. But with all of the fighters there, those Royal Air Force Liberators should not have attacked.
