1. Here again I failed to successfully screen cap the opening messages, in addition to last turn's combat losses.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. East Africa. Start of Turn.

1. I'm very intrigued by the RSA corps "voluntary" surrounded himself by moving into Ethiopia from British Somaliland.
2. My instincts tell me this corps is "bait" to draw the Italian HQ out of Addis Ababa because there's a CW unit heading into Ethiopia from the south.
3. Orders are for all Italian units to stay put on their current positions for the time being.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. East Africa. End of Turn.

1. The Italians did hammer the RSA corps, knocking off 6-steps.
2. The Italian garrison in Massawa, Eritrea was reinforced back to full strength.
3. I was unable to reinforce the 1-step lost from the garrison holding Mogadishu. I suspect this has to do with supply of the port.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. The Western Front. End of Turn.

1. I'm concerned with the weakness of the forces holding this front.
2. I do plan to beef it up, including three new garrisons just deployed to German this turn.
3. However, I do plan to send some of the axis minors (i.e., Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria) corps to the west once Greece is cleared up.
4. U-35 in Bordeaux was reinforced 5 steps.

Question: Do I need a HQ on this front at this time?

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. Production. Germany.

1. I'm amazed at how fast MPPs are used up.
2. I do like the concept how they are used for everything and find it quite novel.
3. Germany needs more boots on the ground. And that means one thing ... infantry!
4. Germany built an infantry army and garrison with all possible levels (i.e., infantry weapons, AA & mobility) maxed out.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. Battle of the Atlantic (2/2).

1. Note that the Italian sub Axum and German u-boat U-30 appears on both BOA posts.
2. In total there are 4 axis subs actively fighting the Battle of the Atlantic and they're fighting it in the South Atlantic.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. Finland. Start of Turn.

Jim. "Curious if you invested in diplomacy with Finland?"
Ronnie. "No, I haven't invested in any diplomacy with any power. However, I have invested heavily in research for Germany and Japan."

1. Interesting ... did my opponent give me some G2?

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. Finland. End of Turn.

1. Finland makes a couple of "recon in force" pushes into the Soviet Union to see what's there.
2. No sure if I can cut the rail line to Murmansk, or even if that matters.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. The Eastern Front. Start of Turn.

Jim. "Good Barbarossa! Looks particularly strong in the south."

1. I didn't respond to this specific point. Not for any sort of gamesmanship reason but more out of not getting around to it.
2. I hope it's ok.
3. It took so long for me to knock France out I was worried that I it would be too weak.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. China. Start of Turn.

Jim. "... you know that closing in on Sian and Communist territory will likely trigger a response from Reds? They have some nice armies..."
Ronnie. "Maybe? Well, I do but I need to check out how close I can get."
Ronnie. "Ok, thanks for the heads up and reminder. I found what I need."
Ronnie. "Communist mobilization can be triggered by Axis advances within 2 hexes of Sian, Lanchow, Chungking, or 3 hexes of Yenan"

1. Some very valuable advice that Jim, who didn't have to, gave me.
2. I was almost within 2-hexes of Sian and Chungking.
3. Also, looks like Jim is making a push in the north into Manchuria.
4. This actually may be an opportunity to destroy more Chinese units.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. China. End of Turn.

1. Was able to capture Changchow, which dropped Chinese morale (message as I ended turn).
2. Japan also responded to the Chinese offensive in the north and managed to maul the Chinese tank unit.
3. The majority of this turns budget went for upgrades, one army in the north and the rest for IJN ships.
4. Also, note that the KB with their screen sorties to the north to support a counterattack against the forces of the Chinese offensive.

Turn 49. July 4, 1941. Axis. East Africa. Start of Turn.

1. I find it a valuable tool to take screen caps at the start and end of each turn of each active or critical theater.
2. It has certainly helped me not to overlook (i.e., forget) to move units in those areas.
3. This turn, while I did move and attack in East Africa, I failed to take a screen cap of the situation at the end of turn. Believe, I'd rather make this mistake than forgetting to move/attack with units in a theater.
4. So I'll describe the moves/attacks made.
5. The Italian corps in Dijbouti attack the RSA corps and knocked it down to 1-step.
6. The Italian corps in Dire Dawa attack the RSA HQ and knocked it down to 8-steps (i.e., knocked 2-steps off).
7. The Italian garrison in Gondar moved 2 hexes NE along the road to hopefully slow down the CW corps that attacked the garrison in Massawa.
8. The garrison in Massaw was reinforcd back up to 5-steps.
9. The Garrison in the south that retreated from Mogadishu retreated to a quicker death. It move along the coast 1 hex NE, but lost another step at the end of turn due to being out of supply.

Turn 49. July 4, 1941. Axis. Greece & North Africa. End of Turn.

1. The axis finally converge on Athens.
2. It'll be nice when Greece is finally pacified and these axis corps can be sent to other areas (e.g., the Eastern Front).

Turn 49. July 4, 1941. Axis. Research. Germany.
ORIGINAL: John B.

I saw a few screens ago that you are researching level 2 rockets for the Germans. I'm curious as to why you're doing that instead of another level of advanced fighters.

1. I took the hint and invested for Germany in a chit for Advanced Fighters.
2. Germany also built an infantry corps with infantry weapons L2, mobility L1 and AA L2.
