[/quote]Yep. That was exactly the issue.

1. The CV Zuikaku, was heavily damaged by the "surviving" fleet at Pearl (knocked down to 2-steps) and fled to the safety of Entwetok.
2. With the exception of the Zuikaku, the KB stayed around for a second raid on Pearl. This time their air groups were switched to "naval/tactical" mode.
3. That made all the difference in the world.
4. Two more USN BBs and a CA were sunk.

1. Two unescorted invasion transports were sent out headed for Rabaul and Guadalcanal.
2. Hopefully the presence of the KB still hanging around just southwest of Pearl will be enough to distract and keep the USN away from the amphibious transports.

1. Manila is captured.
2. At the end of the turn the Philippines surrender and MacArthur is ordered by FRD to leave Corregidor and go to Australia.
3. Douglas, his wife, son and son's nanny are first taken by PT boat to the southern Philippines and then flow by B-17 to Australia.

1. The IJA pull back in the North.
2. Also, they made three minor attrition attacks resulted in 1-step loss by the Chinese to 0 by the Japanese.
3. Several units in theater were reinforced.
4. Japan needs to shift their strength south and project it into Burma. Not sure that's easily doable at this point.
5. Really hate having all these forces tied up in China. Would be so nice to have them available elsewhere.

1. I forgot to make a screen cap of the Med, specifically Rhodes.
2. The Italian garrison on Rhodes which was knocked down to 2-steps by a massive, and I mean massive, effort by the RN was reinforced back to 5-steps.
3. I view it as a good thing that this 1 garrison is occupying the interest of such a large number of RN ships.

1. Looks like the CW is getting serious about this theater.
2. Canadian tanks were brought in and have joined the battle.
3. I suspect it's now just a matter of time but hopefully the Italians can make it a very long time and tie up a number of CW forces here.

1. As stated previously, Germany U-boats managed to sink 77 MPPs headed to Russia.
2. The price was heavy damaged received by U-35 by a Soviet destroyer squadron.
3. U-35 was knocked down to 6-steps and was ordered to Trondheim for reinforcement, and upgrade if possible.
