This is news! I distinctly recall one of the updates about six years ago (the one that changed low level bombing threshold from 5999 to 1999) saying glide bombing was deleted to simplify the air combat model somewhat. It was almost never used by players anyway. I will look for the patch notes ...

EDIT: checked the patch notes - nothing about the air model revamp there. I suppose it was not a patch update, but a game version update done by the Air Combat programmers. Will try to find it.

EDIT2: Could not find the specific reference. There was a thread in November 2009 about the latest release of the game having glide bombing above 10,000 feet but a whole lot of non-level bomber aircraft could do it, including fighters. There was another thread in March 2012 that talked about glide bombing no longer being available to TBs. And then there was a 69 page thread on the Air Combat Model hosted by The Elf from 2007 on. I confess I did not read every page because it was not about patches, just development of the original model for game release.

Is the "Fat Boy" cheat code still active?

Go to Windows Settings...select Apps...Advanced...now find "Auto-pruning routines"...click "disable auto-pruning"..save and close

Now go to WITP-AE Editor and for device 248 substitute "Fat Boy" (without the quotes). Save and exit.

Now on a new start-up or with password change enter "Oppy" (again without the quotes..case sensitive) save and exit. This disables the database checksum routine so the opponent does not get an incompatibility message.

Reboot and you will have 12KT warheads in 1941. You will get about 1 warhead a month.*
