No kills for ejecting enemies?

Hi, I just won a battle where one of my jocks beat two opponents, both of whom ejected from their crippled or dying Titans. However the jock got no "kills" for these victories.

In real life, a pilot can shoot down an enemy plane, and even if the enemy pilot ejects, it still counts as a kill. So what gives- is this a feature, a bug, or what? Kind of discouraging having that big fat "00" for his kills after he outfought his foes. :/

The game will only give personal kills for actions were a titan is not disabled at the start of the attack and disabled at the end. Ejects are no kills in this game. You can get an eject for a titan which crashed on its head without enemy interference at all.
