Dive Bombers

Post by Coach Zuck »

I remember reading somewhere, but can not find it in the rules what altitude is required for Dive Bombers, to well, dive bomb?

I typically fly my SBD's at 14k/15k and have no problem. Recently my opponent's Vals were set to 9k and this was the result:
16 x D3A1 Val bombing from 9000 feet *
Naval Attack: 2 x 60 kg GP Bomb
11 x D3A1 Val bombing from 9000 feet *
Naval Attack: 2 x 60 kg GP Bomb

Not the typical releasing from 2000 ft.
Want to share the info with him.

Thanks

Seth

And ignore any manual references to low altitude skip-bombing - it was removed in a patch.

You mean glide bombing that was removed.

Attack bombers still skip bomb, IIRC.
