Can't deploy new Serb Units.
Been playing pbem continuously since circa Feb 2020 and a few hotseats since release as both CP and Entente. In one of my current pbem games, my opponent has bypassed Belgrade and pushed south, taken Nish..but not Uskub. It is late in 1915..and my Serbs/Montenegrins/Italians hold the Cetinje-Uskub line, and have been for some time. I still hold Belgrade and have been greatly tempted to do a sally out..but won't so that I don't lose my maxed entrenchment. Anyway..the problem is I've had a Serb cavalry unit bought and ready to deploy for 5 turns, and a sorely needed Serb detachment ready now also...but I can't deploy them anywhere in friendly Serbian territory. I have repeatedly moved my Serb Hq off Uskub..hoping this would give a tile (the town) a spot to place at least 1 of my built units. I have never had an opponent get this far south into Serbia and not take Belgrade..but that's the case here. Is the remedy to have my Serb corp move off Belgrade (thus losing my maxed entrenchment) temporarily to receive a new unit, or is there something else I'm missing here? Curious to find an answer as the Bulgarians are getting fidgety for Macedonia.

Tough choice. It would be a risky thing to do if it works. New units deploy with 50% morale. So between that and no real time for the unit to entrench, Belgrade likely falls like a ripe plum if your opponent attacks it.

RE: Can't deploy new Serb Units.
It's been besieged by a few overlook units...no 2 units as is usually necessary to at least start taking it down passively...and I dont want to break out..I've attacked a few times, but don't dare come out to see if I can deploy a new unit..nor do I want something like a cavalry unit to deploy there and not be able to move out to the next turn...what a conundrum as my opponent and me are at the razor's edge strategically. The file I uploaded is a picture of what's going on.

Maybe the fog of war is fooling me, but his supply lines sure look vulnerable. If only you had some cavalry to get behind him.

RE: Can't deploy new Serb Units.
Exactly why I needed that Serb cavalry turns ago...deployed in the south, then come round...which is a moot point now that the Romanians just got in. The thing is, this sector is just a small slice of a very high wire and volatile strategic situation across the whole map on all fronts for both the Entente and Central Powers...the details more suited for an AAR, but basically both sides are stretched to the limits. In a situation like that, one extra unit in the right place could turn the screw..Anyway, the thing is,I still don't understand why I have 2 Serb units built and ready to deploy but no place is available. Unless its because I own Belgrade and won't move off it. This situation is understandable in St. Petersburg if the Germans got the mouth of Narva Bay mined and the ports are full, and you don't want to run a ship out to certain death. Maybe, this is the same situation. Thanks for posting my attachment with the thrust arrows! [:)]

RE: Can't deploy new Serb Units.
Looks like you have decided to break out [;)] Interesting happenings. I shall report the stolen plans to high command and prepare our forces as necessary!
Romania joining is going to ruin everything for me. I am wondering if that happened because Arabia fell to the partisans? I stupidly ventured out of the capital because in my single player games nothing ever happened. Of course it does now [:@]

RE: Can't deploy new Serb Units.
I think the solution to this would be if we change Uskub from being a Secondary Supply Center to be an Industrial Center. I've made a note of this. [:)]

To OldCrowBalthazor
I think you can't deploy units because Belgrade is still your capital. As it is isolated, any other serbian supply source can't trace a path to this primary supply source.
Meaning they can't act as deployment nodes for units unless they can trace a supply path towards another main/primary supply source (or they are one themselves).
The problem here is Uskub is only a "secondary" supply source (noted on the map, base supply 5) unlike Nish ("industrial" center on the map).
Nish has 8 base supply even with Belgrade isolated that's why you can still deploy units there (and at Uskub since it's connected to Nish with a railway).
However Uskub's base supply will fall from 8 to 5 when Serbia loses Nish. So unless it is the de facto capital of Serbia ("alternate" on the map), you won't be able to deploy units there in your situation.
The only thing you can do is lose/evacuate Belgrade so:
- your capital will transfer directly to Uskub. Then you'll be able to deploy new units there.
- you'll free up the only hex where new units can deploy (Belgrade). The remedy as you say !
You can also move your unit out of Belgrade and then back in as any free hex around Belgrade that isn't under enemy control will be able to deploy a new unit.
I hope it was clear enough to help.

Ah! I understand now..thanx Dazo and Bill for making it clear....[:)]
Tanaka: I don't think losing Medina got Romania to decide to join. Getting those objectives in Galicia was part, but what tipped them most was all the diplomatic investments from various member states that contributed to the cause. If you look at the reports, you'll see who. The lavish parties and bribery done in Bucharest was legendary in scope. [:D]

Version 1.03.00 change:
>Changed Uskub from being a Secondary Supply Center to be an Industrial Center (OldCrowBalthazor).
Thanks to the Devs for this fix, and credit to Tanaka for putting me into this untenable situation that lead to the 'Bulgarian Gambit'. [:D]

Indeed, and the credit is also due to Tanaka and everyone else who reports issues. Those who see something but don't report it won't ever get their names mentioned in the patch notes! [:)]
