Do you have a saved turn of this, or perhaps a ChallengeID from a multiplayer game so I could take a first hand look?

you'll have to be quick though as i'll have been conquered by 1942[;)]

Very odd, I just took a look and after trying to re-create the exact setup I'm seeing from your game, I'm able to place the unit, can you try again? Maybe place a British unit first and come back to it, just in case something is locking you out for some odd reason that might be reset when placing another friendly unit.

After posting the issue I ended the turn
My opponent played his turn
He graciously did not occupy Berbera

Now I am able to place the unit as intended

Could it be because the resource was at strength 4 last turn but now is 5?
