Wanted: Celebrity Match, binge style

Looking for somebody cool to play. Skill level must be equal or better than me, wait.....forget that....Are you entertaining, fun, and don't take forever to play. Don't want to train a newbie.

1) We start an agreed time.
2) Binge play, with what, say half hour intervals? How about 15 minute turns?
3) We play this beeotch from Fall 1939 to Summer 1941, then break. Maybe convert to PBEM then, since turns take longer then.

Would really like if there was TCP/IP live play, with a Timer.

Well, I'm not a newbie, and I'm not in the top level, so that would make me mid-level. My record is in Elvis Gold Records and in ELO. We could try a binge & even AAR (short & sweet one). Start at 1939 Poland & goto Fall of France? I'd even try mirrored. Little crazy, eh? Overdose for couple hours. Mirrored, we'd could do AAR afterwards.

Could play Thursday evening, sometime Friday, or early Saturday. I'm talking Yankee time. Got some flex time. Let me know what you think a good idea.

Well, I'm not a newbie, and I'm not in the top level, so that would make me mid-level.

Well, than everything between newbies and top-10 is mid lvl. Quite a big gap.

I mean that I have a moderate experience with SC series. I have played all new ones (WiE, WaW, WWI), won most of the games (about 15-20 in total across all of the series) but all against random opponents so consider my W/L record with a grain of salt. I don't really know the meta or strats, most of the time I go with my gut and my understanding of game mechanics.

Maybe convert to PBEM then, since turns take longer then.

I don't get this. Aren't all mp-matches played by using PBEM?

You're correct, they are all PBEM. Was thinking old TCP/IP play.

Can speed play anytime tonight, I use EST, that's GMT-5, I think. I've lived in every time zone of USA over the years

Okay, that is 8 hours of time difference (GMT 3+). I can start playing at around 16:00 (EST) for about 5 hours straight. Also I am up for time limit for turns. We can schedule the next binge after that.

ELO games have some. Cannot attack Russia until 1941, I think. Something about goofy DOW by Japs.

- Japanese assaults in the north and in the south, Paotow, Nanning and Changsha lost
- Chinese recaptured Wuhan
- Battle for the Eastern Mediterranean: RN sinks three Italian battleships for one British CL
- frequent air raids on Malta but the island holds
- Germans and Italians advance in the North Africa: panzers clash with Royal Armour near El-Alamein, initial African force of the British was destroyed yet reinforcements arrive frequently
- Battle of the Atlantic: Kriegsmarine and Royal Navy trade blows near the Bay of Biscay, no losses so far
- one British DD was sunken by German battleships in the North Sea
- all is quiet in East Afica

Fall 1941
-Germans send 2-panzers to take Cario, was dicey. He had me if would attacked before I could solidify the order of units in the front line. Did take Malta.
-Cat & Mouse on the seas, Kreigsmarines being chased.
-MedSea, plenty of Naval action
-Germans get decent jump in Russia.
-Chinese took Wuhan, but getting a counter-attack now.
