Meaning of unit icons

Post by ncarson »

Surely this must be somewhere in the manual, but darned if I can find it: How to interpret the various bars, dots (I know the dot means they got supplies or partials...) numbers etc on the military unit icons.
Mine dwindle down, but I can't even figure which are the strong ones from the symbols.
Also, I make artillery units, but they seem to disappear and never appear in the Order of Battle screen. Thanks for any help.

Check the war room there is a thread there somewhere on Unit symbols.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

Speaking of units, I read in the manual that in order to benefit from the OHQ bonus units have to be in range. Makes sense. However I didn't see any indication of what that range might be, would be helpful to know.

I think it was 5 hexes. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. I just keep the OHQ near.

You can see the OHQ power on the unit. This is the chance for getting the OHQ Skill Roll Bonuses at all.
I think it is 5 Hexes for 100%, -25% for each hex extra. But really, you can just look if you are in ideal range.

You want section 3.4.4 in the manual.

Five hexes plus a diminishing amount after that for OHQ range feels right, thanks for the information.
